Ursoc'ing it to him!

Though not forgetting the great success of downing Nythendra, Thursday Night drew to a close after 11 failed attempts at Ursoc. Only 7 of them were considered genuine attempts mind, once you remove the ninja pulls, the brain farts and the trigger happy taunts. To say we "failed" though probably does us a disservice, we needed time to get the tactics right, we played about, tried different things and finished the night with only 6% remaining on the Cursed Bear God.
Finishing him off would have to wait.

Sunday came; The Ugly Step-Child of a regular raid day, Often used as our relaxed Farm night, we opted to instead use it as another opportunity to plug away at the Angry, Red Bear.
From the offset we knew this raid would be special, firstly because half the raid group had never been before and secondly we had inadvertently formed a full melee group. We'd eaten our buff food and drank our flasks, so it was too late (and too expensive) to change that now.
We foolishly proceeded into The Grizzly Hills with our delusions of success, but much to our great surprise, things were actually going quite well. Typically though, Alex decided to point this out so, of course, that completely threw us and lead to the obligatory pre-boss trash wipe, nice one Al!
Recovering, in the loosest sense of the word, from nearly a second trash wipe, we eventually made it into the Bear Gods Den for another showdown. This time, employing a slightly revised tactic, dictated more by the group composition than our masterful grasp of strategic planning, we confidently fought our way to 2 successive wipes, in less than 3 minutes! GO US!

Game Face was applied for the third attempt, the first 'real' one because anything lasting less than 90 seconds is obviously considered as a "Demonstration and Evaluation of Relative Position (D.E.R.P)" attempt just to ensure the tactics have been planned correctly...
Taking into account the people new to the encounter, the change of tactics for those in attendance on Thursday and the fact it was Sunday and bellies were full of either rich food, bubbly beer or both, everyone deserves a large pat on the back for how efficiently we were able to turn this unlikely triumph into a solid victory.
My only hope for the future is that we might one day get the positioning right for the post kill photo.
