Our task to cleanse, or destroy, the corrupted occupants of The Emerald Nightmare nears it's conclusion. Only the Cenarius, son of Malorne and teacher of Malfurion Stormrage, and his captor, Xavius, remain.

The demigod Cenarius is the father of druidism in Azeroth, and one of Azeroth's oldest and most powerful protectors. His disturbing slumber within the groves of Val'sharah was the first sign that the depth of the growing threat from within the Nightmare. That dark power now has complete hold over him, and he may lie beyond hope of redemption.

By order of Master Stormrage, Cenarius was to be subdued and not defeated. The Kung Foo Monkey Badgers were tasked with weakening the corrupted Demigod enough so that Malfurion's magic would work on him.

The plan was simple, keep Cenarius out of harms way whilst we dealt with the other threats, then when time allowed carefully wear him down...

Phteven would take charge of keeping Cenarius under control, whilst Jase was appointed to lead the charge against the summoned foes, along with the rest of the Kung Foo Monkey Badgers.

Eager to start, our Demon Hunter Tank lead the charge, Leaping at Cenarius and drawing him away from the approaching army who began a strong attack on Malfurion's Shan'do, from behind. In a confused state, Cenarius defended himself by summoning various creations of nature to protect him and, what he believed was still, The Emerald Dream. In response, we slowed our attacks on the demigod and turned our attention to these ancient protectors.

Fenrice was first to ambush the Nightmare Ancient. Sadly, as with everything in the Emerald Nightmare, this ordinarily placid creature was corrupted changing him from a gentle giant into a formidable foe. The Kung Foo Monkey Badgers sombrely attacked fast and hard, defeating the lovable treant swiftly. Then attention was turned to an approaching Drake, equally as corrupted and a just as deadly, our warriors stood strong and dealt the destructive blows

A brief moment of calm was found in which to turn attention back to Cenarius, who again summoned more forces of nightmare to assist him. Our army rallied, as they did before, and battled the protectors once more.

The fight against the demigod continued. We would attack him hard, then deal with whatever else came to face us, be it Rotten Drakes, Corrupted Ancients or Twisted Sisters, the Kung Foo Monkey Badgers were equal to them all. However, Cenarius was not tiring, we couldn't kill him, but nor could we carry on like this forever, either we had to wear him down soon or risk tiring ourselves out and succumbing to the relentlessly attacking creatures.

Considering it a stalemate, Cenarius changed tact. If he could destroy or corrupt our guild's tanks, he would then be able to move freely and defeat our army. Drawing upon the corruption within him, Cenarius produced a magical spear of our nightmare and launched it at Phteven. The impact was hard and the pain excruciating.

Corruption leaked out of the wound and poured across the floor, trying to attach itself to anyone who stood in it. Fenrice, seeing his premier in danger, lead the Shan'do away allowing Phteven to get to safety. We continued to attack, yet undeterred, Cenarius again drew upon the nightmarish power and launched a second spear at Fenrice.

Once again the room filled with corruption. Phteven, though not yet fully recovered, provoked a second attack from Cenarius, to allow assault to continue. Another Spear struck Phteven firmly in the chest and with the last of his energy he leapt to safety, landing crumpled on the floor just in time to witness the Kung Foo Monkey Badgers claim victory as Cenarius fell to the ground in a deep, deep slumber.

Counter to Il'gynoth being the hardest encounter we had faced, Cenarius proved to be the easiest, or at least the quickest, being that we only had 2 attempts prior to his downfall. Excellent work guys!
